After months of hunting, the wait is finally over. these have been on the top of my of must cop kicks for '09'. For those who don't know, these are the Nike Trainer 1 x Manny Pacquiao, designed by the great Tinker Hatfield. Pacman is a filipino boxing phenom and arguably the world’s greatest pound for pound fighter. These dropped on the 2nd of May 2009, the same day of the Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton fight. Nike has only created 200 pairs and 100 went to Manny’s friends and family.
There is a second colorway dubbed 'Lights Out' based on the second round demolition of Hatton.
On Nov. 14 this year, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, the fast-moving career of the Filipino hero will make another stop with a battle against the dangerous welterweight Miguel Cotto. If Pacman wins, this will set up a possible dream fight with 'Money' Mayweather.
